Blonde Brownie

3/4 cup melted but­ter
3 eggs
2 1/2 tea­spoons bak­ing pow­der
1 pound (2 1/4 cup) brown sugar
2 3/4 cup flour
1 pack­age (12 oz) but­ter­scotch chips
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
2 tea­spoons vanilla

Mix together and pour into a greased, floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 min­utes. You may wish to cut off the edges when serving.
